LINX:
LINX is the focal point for creating commercial value through innovative material
science solutions based on advanced neutron & X-ray technology
in collaboration with facilities, such as MAX IV, ESS and XFEL.
Presentation of LINX and the work with neutrons. Presentation of
different business cases where the basic research in neutrons
have had an impact.
Presentation of the work on ESS (European Spallation Source)
which is a cooperation between 15 EU nations (Estonia as well).
The syncatron is being built in Sweden and connected to research
labs in Denmark. There will also be references to the
cooperation with the Baltic countries.

is the national Danish science media. The editorial staff
delivers a steady flow of science news, features, video and
other content, published every day on the web and distributed in
a daily newsletter, via social media and on other
media platforms.
The articles are free for anyone to read and they reach a wide
audience. 20 pct.
of the users are young people under the age of 20.
The group also publish news in English at

Meeting with the development manager Peter Hyldgård and people
from the editorial staff.
Peter will tell you about the editorial work, the target groups
and what key findings they have by being an online science
media.

FROM JENS DEGETT, CHAIR OF DANISH SCIENCE JOURNALIST ASSOCIATION
Jens Degett Jens Degett is a freelance science journalist and
President of European Union of Science Journalists’ Associations
(EUSJA) He is also Chair of the Danish Science Journalists’
Association. He has worked with science journalism and
communication for more than 20 years.
Jens
Degett was the Executive Director of the European Action in
Global Life Sciences 2005-2010,
Director of Communication and Information at the European
Science Foundation (ESF), from 2000 - 2005.
Host of Danish science radio programmes at National Broadcast
from 1994-2000.
He is one of the founding fathers of the EuroScience Open Forum.
He served as Executive Secretary of WFSJ from 2002-2004.
Jens
will talk about science journalism and communication in Denmark
and present perspectives and future plans for science journalism
in Europe.

ELECTRO
Adrian Llopard Maurin: Presentation of PhD project
(robotics and AI), a small presentation about the Lab itself and
a tour in the lab to see what other people are working on.
So far, if everything goes to plan, a small talk from
the REMORA project (underwater robotics), the Human-Brain
Project (a European project that tries to build AI mimicking
human nature) and a small demo of the robot that won second I
will try to get several videos of other smaller projects.
The tour will be personal and open to any discussions
or questions.

VISIT AT ILLUSTRERET VIDENSKAB (IMELINE TEADUS)
Illustreret Videnskab is an international popular science
magazine that gives the reader insight into the world's leading
research in all branches of science. The magazine and all the
contend is produced in Denmark, but is translated to magazines
all over the world – also Estonia (Imeline Teadus).
We will meet two of the editors, Karen Grubbe and Christian xxx
who will explain how a story in the magazine is produced from
the first idea to the final product with very detailed
illustrations.

Experimentarium
is a science center, located in Hellerup a bit north of
Copenhagen, Denmark.
The center provide families, schools classes and science lovers
in general and in all ages with high quality science
exhibitions, where you’re allowed to touch and play and to
experience science in an innovative, new way.
We will meet some of the people behind the exhibitions and learn
about the process of creating a science exhibition.
Afterwards you can explore the exhibition.
